Delhi: Elderly couple killed as fire breaks out in house

NEW DELHI: An elderly couple was charred to death when a fire broke inside their house in Moti Nagar area of Delhi early on Friday.
Couple's 24-year-old grandson was also injured in the incident and is undergoing treatment.
Fire officials said that they got a call about the incident around 3:30am, soon after which two fire tenders were sent to the spot.Another fire tender was pushed to action and the fire was controlled by 4:30am.
The charred bodies of Lakshmi and Khedi Lal, both aged 70 years, were found inside their room.
Police said that they are yet to ascertain the reason behind the fire incident and have registered a case at the Moti Nagar police station to investigate into the matter.
